An exciting opportunity has become available for a data enthusiast to join UBM in the role of User Insights Analyst.
The User Insights Analyst will create metrics and communicate insights from internal data sources to help evaluate existing and potential opportunities for event attendee marketing, online media, and exhibitor sales.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manipulate and format data from internal proprietary audience database, internal event registration database, and Adobe Analytics to create analyses of customer segments.
- Analysis of data to answer key questions around attributes and engagement of attendees before, during, and after an event.
- Creation of metrics to show attendance performance across geographic and demographic segments as well as comparative analyses year over year and product to product.
- Creates and maintains weekly and monthly reports to demonstrate progress against defined business goals.
- Draws conclusions from analyses and writes and presents clear and concise insights to stakeholders.
- Monitors and interprets email and other campaign channels to analyze results and make recommendations to drive increased event registration.
- Continually reviews the effectiveness of the marketing strategy, sharing ideas to further improve lead generation and customer retention.
- Establishes relationships with marketing and sales; serves as a trusted resource and provider of key user insights and performance analysis.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and reasoning skills with knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Experience manipulating large-scale data sets to create scalable reporting.
- Understanding of data integrity and consistency in data quality.
- Ability to translate complex analytics into clear, concise, actionable communications.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Two or more years experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or CRM analytics.
- Experience analyzing web data, including Omniture/ Adobe Analytics, report building, and email marketing performance.
- Ability to perform multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently in a team environment, take initiative, set priorities, follow through and see tasks through to completion.
- Bacheloregree required, or equivalent with 2+ years in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or CRM analytics
OTHER PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool a plus
- Experience with Sales Force a plus
- Knowledge of marketing campaign metrics and tactics a plus
