Overview / Responsibilities RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES FOR PROJECT ACTIVITIES:
Basic Project setup which includes creation of folders & sub-folders in addition to the standard folder structure.
Assist Discipline CAD Administrator in Advanced Project setup - Project-specific settings (before creation of models) such as Type 63 data settings, model seed files, color tables, cell libraries, border templates etc.
Creation of new Disciplines, Design Areas and Models as per initial requirement in the 3D system.
Development and maintenance of scripted utilities for automating iterative tasks, such as a script for daily copying Model Review datafiles from server to client workstations.
He shall review and recommend changes to user access control and creation of table spaces & DB users as per project requirements
Develop CAD Project Execution Strategy, including CAD Setup Procedures.
Collaborate with Global IT for the integration of different Engineering Systems used on a project.
Assist Discipline CAD Administrators with data exchanges (import/export) between various Engineering Systems.
Initial setup of EERAWAY sub-project & incorporation of electrical cable-tray specifications as per requirement of Electrical discipline
Initial setup of a Frameworks sub-project with appropriate seed files, section library & Units of Force/Weight for loads.
EDEN library customization for Equipment, Piping, Pipe Supports & Electrical RACEWAY
Initial RDB setup - involves creation & modification of specifications & object libraries, code lists, piping assemblies, electrical cable tray specs, EDEN libraries etc in coordination with CAD Administrator and Coordinators.
Project-specific settings & maintenance of the Progress monitoring tool for the 3D CAD
Strategize on regular backup and archival of CAD database, files & folder structure in coordination with Application support group, ICT.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NON-PROJECT RELATED WORK
Write/Update Corporate Engineering System Integration Procedures as necessary.
Write/Update Corporate CAD Work Instructions as necessary.
Track and update the Engineering Master Software List.
Raise General Requisitions for Engineering software & Licenses lease / purchase / maintenance renewal.
Technological Advisor for software required or listed during Proposal, to the Engineering Director and Discipline Leads.
Study, evaluate and develop Proposal Documents and Presentations for the use and integration of Engineering software based on Client requirements.
Skills / Qualifications Degree / Diploma in Engineering with at least 10 years of relevant working experience in CAD administration / Engineering System Integration during in Industrial Projects eg Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical /Power/Pharmaceutical Plant Projects.
Experience in working in the design and engineering team for at least 1 project as CAD administrator
General knowledge and application of engineering software, procedures, specifications, standards
Familiar with multi discipline activities to coordinate with System Integration activities.
Self-motivated, self-reliant, energetic, taking proactive measure are desired.
