Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Operations Research Analyst 2 for their Redondo Beach, CA location.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently on multiple concurrent programs and proposals.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzes actual and predictable interacting operational activities to obtain a quantitative, rational basis for decision making through the application of logic and scientific or economic disciplines and techniques.
- Devises modeling and measuring techniques, utilizes mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques (linear programming, game theory, probability theory, symbolic language, etc.) and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
- Prepares, develops and coordinates the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet all program objectives.
- Ensures program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated
- Implements scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to:
o DCMA 14-point
o IPMR DI-MGMT-81861
o Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
o Critical Path Analysis
o Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA)
o Schedule Performance and Health Metrics and Analysis
- Provides weekly status and reporting
- Conducting Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) audits
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Ability to perform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis and make recommendations to solve problems
- Ability to create presentation content and present to various levels of leadership
- Ability to effectively work with multiple functional teams, supplier teams, and the Program/Project Manager.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: - Bacheloregree in STEM with 2 years of related work experience; or a Masteregree in STEM with 1 year of related work experience
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Project
- Exposure to Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, baseline, and management
Preferred Qualifications: - Certifications: PM, PMP or SP
- Mastern Business Administration or STEM
- Exposure to Aerospace Industry and Defense Acquisition programs
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Access
- Experience working proposals
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
