The Opportunity The Data Centre Consulting Lead serves as an advocate to provide data centre best practices and approach to reducing operational costs while improving overall data centre efficiency that supports the company's growth.
The incumbent shall lead a consultative working relationship with customers to understand Data Centre priorities, issues, challenges, and initiatives that can be translated into data centre improvements plans.
The Job (Responsibilities)
- Owns the delivery of data centre support services that include energy audits, power demand assessments, electrical system resilience assessments, utility tariff analysis and sustainable electrical engineering design
- Identify data centre priorities, issues, challenges and initiatives and come up with improvement plans to reduce energy usage
- Develop innovative and effective improvement recommendations
- Conduct sute evaluation to assess and verify data centre design
- Provide performance analysis and reports
The Talent (Requirements)
- Minimum 8 years' of hands on experience in mission critical equipment, system design, implementation, and operational excellence in data centre is essential
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Understanding of equipment and operations of UPS systems, diesel generators, electrical switchgears, power distribution units, and automatic / static transfer switches
- Relevant Data Centre professional certifications (i.e. GMM / GMP / GMFM / GMFP / Uptime Accredited Design Specialist / Accredited Singapore Certified Energy Manager / etc)
