The Senior Acquisition Analyst will support the DDG 51 Shipbuilding program and be responsible for supporting the DDG 51 Program office with the following:
- Maintain awareness of current and changing requirements of the Defense Acquisition System process in accordance with DoD 5000.2 Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, and the associated Dept. of the Navy, statutory and regulatory requirements of ACAT I programs.
- Development of Acquisition and Contracting Strategies.
- Timely preparation, development, and submittal to approval authorities of all required program documentation, both statutory and regulatory, and the preparation of acquisition tailoring recommendations appropriate for the DDG 51 program.
- Review of and preparation of draft responses to senior Navy and DoD leadership inquiries, media inquiries, Congressional inquiries, and questions from industry.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic program reporting documents.
- Provide analysis of program cost, schedule, and performance data, and preparation of recommended courses of action.
- Development of various ad hoc reports, white papers, and presentation material for program reviews with industry, Navy, and DoD leadership.

Education, Work Experience, Skills and Clearance Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of technical experience in related discipline, OR a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of demonstrated in-depth experience and specialized knowledge in the field in lieu of a degree.
- Expert knowledge to support DoD acquisition and business management.
- Expert knowledge of DoD 5000, Operation of the Defense Acquisition System, and the associated statutory and regulatory requirements of ACAT I programs.
- Expertise in analyzing, assessing, and developing inputs to DoD Acquisition documents, White Papers, and briefing material being prepared for Defense Acquisition Boards (DAB), Major Decision Reviews, and Gate Reviews.
- Expert knowledge of Acquisition Strategies, Defense Acquisition Executive Summaries, Acquisition Program Baselines, Selected Acquisition Reports, and other acquisition reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of RFP development, proposal reviews, and Award Fee / Incentive Fee criteria and evaluation processes.
- Ability to apply expertise in analyzing program cost, schedule, and technical data to develop draft inputs to reporting.
- Ability to conduct program performance analysis and develop metrics based on current and future baselines.
- Ability to apply fact-finding and investigative techniques.
- Provide oral and written communications and develop presentations and reports.
- Active Secret security clearance verifiable in JPAS prior to start date.
Highly Desired:
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in DoD program office support.
- Experience providing executive level liaison with senior Navy and DoD personnel.
- Expertise working with Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Access.
