• Manage a portfolio of suppliers. Evaluate and control quality and delivery metrics. Prepare weekly metrics report
• Work with the production team to ensure availability of parts for manufacturing
• Plan, direct and coordinate logistics activities
• Audit freight invoices and negotiate with carriers to settle invoicing disputes
• Evaluate and manage freight Purchase Orders
• Collect data and perform freight cost analyses. Identify freight cost reduction opportunities
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action for discrepancies identified
• Conduct data analyses and prepare reports for management to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can drive supply chain and logistics improvements
• Evaluate material surplus and perform cost analyses
• Prepare status reports, process documentation and create presentations
• Work with management, engineering, operations, etc. to evaluate analyses, address inquiries, and ensure proper implementation of assigned activities and/or corrective actions

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or equivalent is required
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods is desired
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain or logistics is desired
• Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general computer software
• Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
• High energy and a demonstrated ability to implement and get results are essential
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Must be self-directed, self-starter, and be able to multi-task and prioritize
• Must enjoy working in a team environment, and have strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and understand regulations and procedures is required
