Cascades East is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon, providing an incredible rural medicine experience. The clinic is a certified Patient Centered Primary Care Medical Home, with an emphasis on team-based care and innovation. Sky Lakes Medical Center, the hospital at which the Cascades East Family Medicine Residency program is based, is the only hospital for the Klamath Basin. The combination of a strong medical community and populations with significant health care needs makes Klamath Falls a unique setting to practice and train. Providers work within the full scope of family medicine, often caring for entire families from newborns all the way to grandparents.

Functions/Duties of Position
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
Compensation for the position will include a per diem payment. By mutual agreement between the Department and the physician, this position may include Inpatient Care with call duties being shared with the faculty inpatient call group.
The Appointee will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business perspective.
The duties include:
- Work collaboratively with full and part time faculty to maintain an active practice
- Supervise family medicine residency educational activities and
- Participate in and be available for teaching activities
- Serve as preceptor for Family Medicine residents and interprofessional students
- The Appointee will directly see patients or precept in the clinic on an as needed basis.
- The Appointee will be expected to document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Cascades East policies and procedures.
