The IT Specialist - Finance and BI Analyst/Programmer will be responsible for the following:
- The candidate will leverage knowledge of steel manufacturing scheduling and planning, costing and finance processes to produce analytics and reporting for senior management and executive decision support.
- The position requires interaction with users spanning technical support to c-suite executives to define and document requirements.
- The candidate will have expert development skills using multiple technologies to deliver programming in SAS and other languages including COBOL, TELON and PL1 on various platforms including mainframe, AIX and Windows.
- The candidate will have expert DB2 programming skills to develop data archive/purge programs and provide support for archive/purge processes.
- The position will be responsible for design and load of DB2 tables for application processes and programs
- The candidate will be responsible for development and execution of test plans and documentation of test results.
- The position will require performing data extract, transfer and load processes for DB2, Oracle, and other data warehouses.
- The position requires participation in a callout schedule to provide 24 x 7 support to clients.
- The position will interact daily with users to resolve customer problems and job failures.
- The position requires knowledge of Agile development processes and use of JIRA to track and document assignments.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 10 years' experience - Business Knowledge Required; Steel Manufacturing, Scheduling, Planning, Finance, Invoicing, Order Management 10 Years
- Minimum 8 years' experience - extensive SAS programming experience in a custom development environment
- Minimum 8 years' experience - extensive DB2 experience and complex programming in a custom development environment
- Minimum 8 years' experience - of Mainframe technology experience including IMS, DB2, JCL, COBOL
- Minimum 8 years' experience - demonstrated ability to develop solutions integrating applications with Scheduling and Routing rules based systems.
- Minimum 8 years' experience - working across mainframe, AIX and Windows systems.
