Job Description Alvarado Parkway Institute Behavioral Health System is looking for a Full Time Clinical IT Electronic Health Record Analyst to join our team of excellent health care professionals!
Position Summary: At API, our mission is roving Mental Health and Quality of Life By Helping People Maximize Their Potential. This position will play a key role in achieving our mission by working directly with Clinical staff, Nursing, Physicians and other ancillary staff to design, build, train and provide on-going support of our EHR system. Assist in the implementation and adoption of our EHR system to assure a smooth transition.
Duties / Skills:
- Serve as Clinical Analyst for our EHR system by analyzing work flows of physicians, clinical, ancillary staff members to design and build all relevant EHR EForms, FlowCharts, ClinDoc, PhysDocs, Ancillary applications, and system customization.
- Design, create and present EHR training materials and presentations to staff and providers.
- Provide day to day support to staff on EHR issues, update forms, and document tickets with current helpdesk application.
- Review new system enhancements, collaborate with all stakeholders in process improvement projects, quality improvement measures, and updated and new EHR applications in order to assist the organization in the execution of APIission statement.
- Build relationships with our EHR vendor including their implementation team and support staff.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate clearly, responsively, and purposely with staff and team members.
Qualifications Education, Training and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience working with an Electronic Health Records System
- Clinical background such as LVN and/or Clinical support person in a psychiatric/healthcare setting
- Previous training/teaching experience and/or background
- Proficient in: Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Power Point; Windows Operating System port writing, databases, EHR, etci>
- Excellent organizational, attention to details and communication skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clinical, ancillary and provider staff members.
- Ability to multi-task, driven to learn and work independently with little oversight.
