Role Summary The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring illustration software testing is properly planned and executed for changes
Key Responsibilities Design test cases to efficiently test life insurance product functionality in the illustration software
Ensures test cases are traceable to business requirements
Modifies and runs actuarial test spreadsheets
Interfaces with automation team to implement test automation
Interfaces with other QA resources including internal User Interface and PDF.teams, as well as external QA resources source from 3rd party development firm
Executes tests to compare results with requirements, verifies test requirements, readiness, and identifies defects
Logs defects in defect tracking software. Facilitates the resolution of defect(s)
Working with the QM Data Analysts and the Test Data Management Shared Services, ensures test data integrity across target systems
Contributes to writing and refining the test strategy
Responds to requests and inquiries from agents and internal business partners
Education / Training
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Previous Experience, Expected Skills and Knowledge
Extensive knowledge of Life Insurance products and product functionality
Strong excel skills
General understanding of IRC Section 7702 and 7702A
Strong communication skills
Familiarity with illustrations
Additional desirable skills include:
Actuarial science background
Experience with test and defect management tools
Ability to work across a spectrum of roles such as Release Management function and cross organizational Test Leads to effectively plan and execute testing
Working knowledge of the QA review and testing process, designing test scenarios, including understanding various testing techniques and tools, and technology impacts
Ability to decompose requirements into detailed test cases for test execution
