Job Summary The Land GIS Spatial Analyst position is located in Denver, Colorado. This position will be embedded within the Mineral Land team to provide GIS support and maintain the Lease and Contract agreement polygons associated with and the Land department.
Qualifications - 2+ years with related GIS land systems and proficient with land concepts, agreements and terminology is required.

Responsibilities - Strong land knowledge and understanding of land grids and survey data.
- Must have experience working with relational databases, plus a strong comprehension of fundamental geodetic theory, including the use of spheroids and datum, and complete transformations between various map projections.
- Apply advanced spatial, geo-statistical, network or business GIS concepts and other complex techniques to geographic data analysis; including, geoprocessing tools, joining tables and connecting various data sources for detailed spatial data analysis.
- Ability to think outside the box and develop efficient solutions to complex processes.
- Identifies and effectively recommends alternative solutions to effectively resolve issues and deliver improvements to processes and systems.
- Assist with special projects which include acquisitions & divestitures.
- Exhibits ability and willingness to mentor as needed within the Land department.
- Attends all team meetings.
- Takes initiative to maintain and increase technical GIS knowledge.
Education B.S Degree or higher degree, in Geographic Information Systems is preferred. Degrees in related fields (Geography, Geology, Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science) with a GIS focus or certification will also be considered.

This position may be eligible for domestic relocation.
Travel Requirements
This percentage of travel required for this position is up to 0-10%.
Work Schedule This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
