Description Hi-Tec Systems, Inc. is searching for an experienced, mid level Systems Engineer/Analyst
for its bid on FAA Safety and Occupational Health Programs, for the newly formed DASHO support group. The DASHO is responsible for standardizing employee safety activities for the entire FAA and supports the OSH Act of 1970, Executive Order 12196 and 29 CFR 1960, requiring the heads of Federal agencies to furnish to employees places and conditions of employment that are free from job safety and health hazards.
Duties * Must provide support to OSHECCOM to perform the following tasks:
- Attend multi-organization meetings of the OSHECCOM, subcommittees and other meetings as requested.
- Provide meeting logistical support that includes meeting planning and the development of agendas, meeting materials, formal meeting minutes, action items and lessons learned.
- Must provide workplace hazard support to Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental (OSHE) to perform the following tasks:
- Identify and evaluate potential hazards to FAA employees and provide recommendations to remedy the hazards and to reduce the potential for the hazard to result in a negative impact to the FAA.
- Develop a hazard analyses report to include ergonomic reviews, workspace inspections, facility inspections, and Job Hazard Analyses as required by the COR. All work must comply with FAA Order 3900.19 and other job specific orders as applicable (these will be supplied as needed).
- Provide technical input to objectives and methods of hazard reduction.
- Must provide documentation support to OSHE to perform the following tasks:
- Develop directives, guidance, and handbooks and/or systems to facilitate the FAA's compliance with most current safety and health regulations and Executive Orders.
- Research best practices to apply to FAA OSH programs and policies and draft recommendations for implementation.
- Must provide agency outreach support to OSHE to perform the following tasks:
- Develop marketing efforts and strategies using OSH best outreach practices for boosting compliance with FAA OSH policies and practices by other FAA lines of business (LOBs).
- Assist in coordinating DASHO efforts with other LOBs.
- Provide or support training and informational workshops to include preparing displays, handouts, and other informational materials for outreach to FAA employees.
- Must provide research and data compilation support to OSHE to perform the following tasks:
- Perform research and data analysis of injury and illness records to identify and assess trends.
- Assist staff with evaluating the OSH data and trends and develop efficient processes, programs and practices to integrate into FAA business operations. Tabulate and track data for analysis. Provide draft reports of data analysis, as approved by the COR.
- Assist with the development of plans and procedures for electronic file conversion and records management to include Occupational Medical Surveillance records.
Required Qualifications - A bachelor's degree in Engineering, math, and science degrees from an accredited college or university.
- At least5 years experience
- At a minimum, must demonstrate 5 years of experience coordinating the National OSHECCOM meetings
