Responsibilities The Information Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Support government leads in the formulation, development, coordination, evaluation, and issuance of IC policies and procedures for conducting pre-publication review of materials provided to the organization.
- Consult and coordinate with other IC and government Public Disclosure organizations to ensure consistent application of public disclosure policies and procedures.
- Review significant amounts of data from numerous sources to determine classification status consistent with the customer and IC classification guides.
- Approve or deny, in whole or in part, requests for public disclosure of supplied materials. Provide appropriate determinations for materials not approved for public disclosure.
- Refer information to originating departments and agencies for equity review.
- Create and maintain records to track status of internal and external review of provided materials and final adjudication of public disclosure requests.
- Arrange for appropriate release of materials approved for public disclosure.
Qualifications Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
- The candidate shall possess, at a minimum, the following education and experience:
- Bacheloregree in social, physical, natural, business or computer sciences; humanities; engineering, mathematics; informatics, records management, or other fields directly related to information management and a minimum of 4 years or more of experience in information management (IM) involving the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences, especially involving those who have a stake in or a right to that information . The government will waive the Bacheloregree requirement if the candidate has an Associateegree and a minimum of 8 years or more of experience in information management (IM) involving the collection and management of information from one or more sources and the distribution of that information to one or more audiences, especially involving those who have a stake in or a right to that information.
- Expert knowledge of the governing principles, laws, policies, procedures, protocols, regulations and statutes of IM, and specific familiarity with IM directives, regulations, guidance, processes and practices of the ODNI and more broadly the IC.
- candidate shall possess, at a minimum, the following experience:
- Thorough knowledge of E.O. 13526,O. 13356, ICD 710, and associated IC and ODNI classification management policies.
- Demonstrated extensive experience working on pre-publication reviews or public disclosures and applying appropriate exemptions/redactions to protect sensitive and/or classified intelligence information.
- Thorough understanding of the classification categories and demonstrated experience with the proper handling of classified information designated as controlled access program, RD, FRD, and FGI.
