Job Title Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Position Summary As Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you drive Commercial Finance Data Mart initiatives and is a subject matter expert in Finance Data Dictionary and Business Definitions. You have the right mix of Finance domain knowledge in Retail industry, an ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and developing data models with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and agility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities: - Partner with Engineering teams to operationalize data solutions and
improve Walmart eCommerce business intelligence and analytics platforms, such as
querying, reporting and analytics tools
- Establish and maintain Business Definition alignment across Finance
- Ensure data integrity between various reporting solutions used by Finance Organization
- Establish and maintain structure for data governance
- Continually evaluate current reporting tools and functionality preparing business cases as appropriate for more robust tools
- Advocate existing BI solutions and train end-users
- Extract data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate sharing between multiple data systems.
- Proficient in the use of query, reporting analysis and OLAP tools.

- High level of attention to detail, including the ability to assess, and synthesize large amounts of content and data related to project status, issues, risks, dependencies, and schedules and distill them in crisp, clear language appropriate for a variety of audiences including business executives.
- Own the data dictionary, data repository and data governance/stewardship of the data model
- Highly developed analytical, strategic-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
- Excellent verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills with demonstrated ability to gain trust, secure buy-in and influence change at all levels.
- An ability to influence without direct authority, as well as applying an appropriate level of assertiveness, is critical.
- Advanced proficiency in the use of project management tools is required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications ll versed in Finance definitions within Retail industry
- Experience in developing data models
- Experience building Tableau dashboards
- Proficient at writing SQL queries against complex databases for the purpose of data extraction
- Solid understanding of DW design and data modeling
- Experience with Thoughtspot and/or Essbase
- Knowledge of software and product development lifecycles (SDLC/PDLC) and large-scale enterprise systems integration experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling and ETL concepts; familiarity with Big Data and Hadoop technologies
- Experience with Confluence, JIRA, Aha! tools.
