Job Description: Organizational Overview
As an Associate with DST Pharmacy Solutions, you will be part of an organization that promotes better health outcomes for consumers through clinical and technological innovations. Role Overview This Business Systems Analyst will have responsibility for the following areas of work:
· Partner closely with Internal Customers to understand needs in terms of reporting/analytics and translate them into requirements for creating analytic deliverables
· Write and execute efficient queries to obtain data from various data sources for analytics, reporting and visualization purposes
· Candidate will need to exhibit the ability to take initiative with any of the above tasks and work towards completion either as part of a group or independently
Responsibilities · Work directly with the Internal Customers to understand the goal(s) of the data analytics component as it relates to the overall value proposition, outcomes, metrics and additional opportunities to improve overall client/company performance
· Raise any questions with the Internal Customers and work towards resolution; support any analytics required to drive product revisions and/or enhancements
· Based on a comprehensive understanding of the goals, determine data locations and write efficient SQL code to retrieve data
· Serve as a key business partner to the Internal Customers by analyzing data and looking for irregularities, outliers and overall reasonableness
· Define data models that will support analytics deliverables that in turn will meet the needs of the team and cross-functional partners. Engage with the appropriate resources to design, obtain executive approval and implement these models in a timely manner
· Actively engage with intradepartmental members to incorporate data architecture standards
· Employ knowledge and experience to create analytics content (specifically Tableau based dashboards and workbooks)
· Document business and/or technical processes and procedures relating to any of the above activities as required
Qualifications - Bacheloregree and 2 years of work-related experience, or Masteregree, or 5 years equivalent work-related experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience with enterprise level RDBMS (DB2 preferred) and strong SQL skills
- Experience with visual analytic tools, specifically Tableau
- Ability to assist and document requirements to support analytics content including ability to do so in a cross functional working environment
- Possesses the ability to understand clinical products, associated process flows and data structures supporting the clinical product in an effort to help guide what is reasonable from a reporting perspective
- Create data model options for Internal Customers to react to and provide feedback
- Possess the ability to investigate and analyze data as part of the overall data analysis process and then clearly articulate areas of concern and inquiries to the Internal Customers
- Familiarity with health care (specifically pharmacy) data is a plus
- Must feel comfortable working with tight deadlines as well as successfully managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously
