This person will need a 4 year degree and extensive knowledge of E-Commerce Technology from an IS analyst perspective.
POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Senior IS Business Analyst (E-Commerce)
DEPARTMENT: Information Systems
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: IS Applications
POSITION PURPOSE The Senior IS Business Analyst's (E-Commerce) primary objective is helping businesses implement and maintain E-Commerce technology solutions that support the strategic direction of the company in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. The Senior IS Business Analyst understands cross-functional processes and process related issues, is a liaison and relationship builder within and outside the department, and is a leader in the IS organization.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Work closely with the functional departments and IS Analysts to attain an in-depth knowledge of business processes and procedures.
2. Apply full-life-cycle methodologies to projects and change control.
3. Responsible for documentation using company and department standards.
4. Apply technical and analytical skills to determine application system setup, configuration, and customization requirements to meet business needs.
5. Extensive experience in configuration, module upgrades for applications in a multi-tier environment.
6. Work with other application development staff to develop architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
7. Research and implement information systems technology where appropriate for the functional departments.
8. Troubleshoot application, database, and network system problems.
9. Collaborate with other team members to achieve tactical business results.
PERIODIC OR SECONDARY POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Create formal networks involving coordination among cross-functional groups
2. Perform on-call application support as necessary

COMPETENCIES 1. Deep understanding of E-Commerce technologies and business processes
2. Understanding and demonstrated use of working with e-commerce frameworks
3. Experience working with Content Delivery Networks (CDN)
4. Experience troubleshooting e-commerce performance related issues
5. Experience understanding how to mitigate Internet threats.
6. Experience coordinating activities across multiple vendors
7. Strong communication skills.
8. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Customer relations / service skills.
10. Strong analytical, reasoning and organizational and project task management skills.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and follow through, including proper documentation.
12. Understanding of logging/monitoring tools (APM/NPM)
13. Ability to have deep comprehensive understanding of business systems technologies.
14. Ability to have broad understanding of all enterprise technologies and business processes.
15. Ability to understand database design and query languages.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1. A bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Prefer 6+ years additional IS analyst experience in supporting applicable business area.
