The Business Analyst will work at our Corporate Office in Greeley, CO with the Fed Beef team and will be responsible for gathering, maintaining, developing, and implementing business and market information models, routines, and reports. Experience conducting statistical analysis and modeling, strong analytical skills, curiosity, discipline, and a researcher mindset are crucial for this position, as well as an ability to interact with multiple teams and run presentations.
Successful Candidate:
A successful candidate must be able to take the initiative, easily understand the business dynamics and see the big picture. Understand the uses of business and market information to better drive decisions. Relate with multiple teams to understand the market movements. Have experience programming and a strong analytical background so that they can use it to drive decisions in a fact based environment. Translate data into strategy. They also must be able to create and develop new tools to support current routines, and have the strong drive to constantly improve. Also must be organized to manage projects along with routines and requests.
Candidates should possess a strong foundation in statistics and data analytics as they will be expected to create analyses from customer product bundling to demand forecasts.
Responsibilities: - Manage the internal and external information databases.
- Automate processes.
- Develop statistical analysis on customer bundling,
- Perform competitive analysis on all segments of our business.
- Perform demand analysis on all segments of our business: Retail, Food Service, Export, etc.
- Perform price and mix optimization analysis.
- Provide assistance to multiple teams.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports.
Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Statistics, Economics or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Researcher mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate results to a non-technical audience.
- Experience with database and statistical modeling software (SQL, Stata, R, etc.).
- Great multitasking.
- Organized, strong planner.
- Ability to understand the decision making process.
- Excellent communication and relational skills.
- Understanding of reporting tools and concepts.
