This Research Assistant I will be responsible for:
- Accession research specimens including cells, fluid, nucleic acid, and tissue.
- Performing pre-analytical specimen processing including aliquoting, blood fractionation, DNA normalization, and nucleic acid extraction & QC.
- Managing specimen inventory.
To qualify, you must have:
- The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Enjoy working in a team setting.
- Familiarity with biobanking, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) are preferred, but not required.
- The analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
