Mattel is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support the highly innovative and growing Global Logistics and Planning team within the Global Development and Supply Planning organization.
Primary responsibilities will be to drive and support strategic projects analysis and follow up- including global network optimization; which includes the location and size of distribution centers, the understanding of production to final customer delivery of value.
The SFA in this role will:
- Perform cost and variance analysis for actual and forecast reporting for North America region
- Drive cost reduction/optimization opportunities/initiatives and track performance monthly
- Implement and improve business processes to report more quickly and efficiently
- Process set up and improvement as it relates to transportation, logistics and distribution centers details
- Participate in strategic initiatives that focus on efficient utilization of resources, require in-depth financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
- Calculate and analyze risks and opportunities to aid senior management's decisions to drive the business forward
- Partner with Transportation team to provide strategic business decision support
- Provide business and financial guidance to all levels of the Logistics organization
- Flexibility to work on multiple projects simultaneously understanding priorities while meeting deadlines
Experience, Education & Skills You have:
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics finance with lane and rate calculations
- Cost Analysis experience with structured thinking
- Distribution Center knowledge

Qualifications: - BS/BA required (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred); MBA/CPA is a plus
- 3-5 years' experience in financial/P&L analysis
- Oracle, Hyperion/HFM, Cognos
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to quickly gain proficiency in new/multiple financial systems
- Flexibility to adapt to change
Preferred Requirements: - Inbound & Outbound Freight understanding; Corresponding Lane Tracking
- Experience in global logistics strongly preferred
- Proactive and results-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel
