Overview The International Protocol Unit (IPU) responsible for coordinating and facilitating official meetings by foreign national dignitaries with FBI personnel at all levels, to include the Director's Office, FBIHQ personnel, all 56 field offices and any FBI facility. Contract personnel will perform the duties of a Management and Program Analyst (MAPA).
Responsibilities Management and Program Analyst
MAPAs routinely contact the most senior level representative within the FBI to include Special Agents in Charge and FBIHQ Branch/Division Heads to schedule and coordinate meetings with international representatives. The MAPAs must review the request and determine the suitable meetings based on the goals and objectives of the requester and FBI Legat. The MAPAs are responsible for generating electronic communications to ensure clearance information is processed appropriately with Security Division and access to the FBI facility is granted. MAPAs serve as the main point of contact for the foreign dignitary and embassy liaison representatives. The MAPA will perform protocol duties such as escorting, securing appropriate gifts for the FBI host to present to the dignitary, generating table tents for seating, and securing/serving refreshments for the meeting(s) when appropriate.
Qualifications - ability to communicate at all levels in order to assist with high level foreign dignitaries meeting with representatives of the FBI
- Liaison with other government officials, FBI officials, embassy personnel, and foreign dignitaries
- Ability to exhibit professionalism to FBI employees at all levels, to include Field Office ADIC, SACs, and ADli>
- Organize and plan official meetings and assist with FBI conference planning
- Complete administrative tasks related to protocol such as ordering refreshments, completing electronic communications for security, confirming FBI presenters/agenda, escorting foreign officials, and entering meeting details in a database or SharePoint site.
- Dress professional in business attire to represent the FBI appropriately
- SCI access to review Agency bios and classified talking points
- Set tasks for information with appropriate deadlines to the requesting entities in order to successfully complete the meeting request
- Coordinating briefing documents and talking points to prepare senior level FBI executives for the meeting with the foreign dignitary
Required Qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance
Shall be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, will all levels of management.
Ability to prioritize and work with short deadlines
Minimum five (5) years Government experience or two (2) years as a protocol affairs specialist/ special events coordinator in private industry
