Job Summary: - The Sr. Data Quality Data Analytics & Performance Improvement Analyst supports the Center's core elements of the strategic lan by providing meaningful an accurate data that will drive improvement to promote positive changes to quality, patient safety, and professional practice. This position will serve as enterprise-wide quality data experts and perform at an advance level of data analysis, taking ownership of inpatient and/or outpatient data, independently identify improvement opportunities and work with internal external customers to improve performance.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - required (Informatics, Statistics, Health Sciences, Business, Finance or related)
- Master's degree - preferred (Informatics, Health Sciences, Public Health, MBA or related)
- Licensure:
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt (within 1 year of hire)
- Six Sigma Green Belt (within 2 years of hire)
- CPHQ
- Minimum Experience Required:
- Seven (7) years of data management/analysis, metadata management
- Strong knowledge of CMS Regulatins on Quality Reporting for both PPS Exempt Cancer Centers and Non-Exempt Hospitals.
- Familiarity with other data requirements for ADCC facilities and the applicability of data to performance improvement.
- Familiarity with Meaningful Use for Eligible Providers and Hospitals.
- Ability to proficiently utilize analytics software to manage data, report both publically, contractually and internally, and be proficient to write code for ad-hoc reporting in analytics software.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Visio, Access, Word)
- Ability to create and manage meaningful high level dashboards.
- Ability to create databases to track performance improvement action plan item and status.
- Excellent speaking, communication, and presentation skills with both internal and external customers as well as regulatory agencies is essential.
- Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with departments to ensure continuous forward movement in improvement.
- Familiarity with Cerner or comparable electronic health record systems.
- Strong healthcare data analysis skills required with strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong understanding of analytic methodology, including risk adjustment, geometric versus arithmetic methodology.
- Excellent collaboration is required.
- Understanding of operational delivery process, quality and safety issues or ability/desire to learn.
- Healthcare experience required.
- Understanding of healthcare billing coding (e.g. ICD-10, CPT, DRG) is highly preferred.
- Background/certification in quality management tools and methods (LEAN, Six Sigma, etc.) or ability to develop and learn. Must receive Six Sigma Yellow Belt within 1 year of employment and Green Belt within 2 years of employment.
