The role is the IS expert for Finance and Marketing processes and systems within the in-market IS function. This is forward-facing role that works closely with Finance and Marketing teams on financial planning and reporting, including customer and trade promotion planning. The core responsibility of the role (and the in-market IS team) is to drive outperformance through strategic and tactical use of system-driven analytics.
Success is measured in terms of sales and market performance. A close partnership with the Finance and Marketing teams, including brand and customer teams, is required. You will provide important business process and technical expertise to solve in-market issues and during the change management process. You will work with your business partners to train end-users on systems and processes. At an area level, you represent your markets on strategic finance projects. Providing technical expertise and, where required leadership, to the business on projects involving assessment, design, development, and implementation of business solutions including detailed cost/benefit comparisons. This includes consideration and compliance with Reckitt Benckiser standards and security implications.
The Business Analyst will work in multi-functional teams as the representative of the IS function.
Key Responsibilities Perform system analysis, design, testing, and documentation. Development and scripting experience is a major plus. Exceptional candidates will be able to develop ad-hoc solutions on the fly to meet critical needs.
Monitor and analyze existing application systems. Recommend enhancements in technical function and business utility.
Identify, scope, and implement capability building process and system improvements; identifying long-term, strategic data needs for the enterprise, defining how the data is related to the business processes and developing a conceptual and functional model of the data.
Top-level escalation for business process and system support, liaising with dedicated technical support teams.
Ensure that all system security and control procedures are implemented and followed.
Deliver business process change management that minimizes organization effectiveness and efficiency.
Lead the effort to test and implement projects and enhancements.
Supervise the efforts of external technical resources as required.
Is this You?
Development and/or scripting experience in a model language.
Experience with statistical analysis tools (ie., R).
Two to three years of experience in finance, sales, marketing, or frontline data analysis.
Ability to analyze operating unit, brand, and customer history and growth.
Operational experience with SAP finance and accounting modules (FI, CO, etc) is a plus.
Ability to demonstrate master data management best practices.
Previous exposure to CRM and ERP applications (Siebel & JDE respectively) is preferred.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Language skills preferred.
Ability to work demanding hours and/or be callring non-working hours, as project or emergency system maintenance require.
Ability to interact clearly with business users to ensure that software solutions fill strategic business needs.
Creative problem solving skills and ability to work on own initiative to drive and deliver results
Willingness and ability to work with multifunctional teams both in country and across the world.
