TITLE: Program Analyst III
LOCATION: Arlington, VA
DURATION: Full Time
Job Summary: The Program Analyst III will use his or her knowledge of applying analytic methodologies and principles to address program needs while maintaining program confidentiality. He or she will provide analyst support in the areas of data collection, interviewing, data modeling, project testing, and creation of performance measures. The Program Analyst III will perform a wide range of data entry and analysis, resource distribution, acquisition support, for managers/Administrative Officers to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization. This position will support a Federal Law Enforcement client in Arlington, VA.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develops plans including budgets, allocations, and schedules to meet various operational project requirements for the assigned portion of a program;
- Conducts in-depth analysis of a wide variety of sources, studies, and/or audits as established/planned in the program requirements;
- Participates in establishing and defining program plan requirements;
- Evaluates, monitors, and reports performance against plans to ensure guidelines meet appropriate procedures and policies;
- Reports, analyzes, and interprets financial and operating data;
- Formulate, implement, and is accountable for fiscal and budgeting processes, regulatory compliance, fund accountability, and adherence to directives at subordinate offices of the Division;
- Compile data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. vendors, staff, public agencies, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with a wide variety of purchasing policies and procedures, and/or monitoring purchasing processes to include the bidding process;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience required.
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and
- Outlook), technology systems, and communications tools (Adobe).
- Must be able to maintain a Secret level clearance and be drug-free
Preferred Qualifications: - Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills; excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task; detail oriented; be observant and anticipate operational needs
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a variety of situations
- Excellent problem solver and able to handle difficult situations
