Description of position The Cloud Analyst is focused on speed of delivery for cloud services and continuos improvment of the cloud experience. The successful Analyst will be the trusted advisor to the vertical and horizontal customers in their journey to deploy their apps and services in the cloud. The role will provide a primary point of contact for project engagements to help streamline request processes, working in a team environment with platform support engineers, architects, Subject Matter Experts (SMEand other key operations personnel. The right candidate will have a broad architectural design skill-set with an emphasis on environment provisioning, automation, and orchestration. They will also possess the ability to provide technical solutions to problems, meet deadlines and clearly communicate issues.
Tasks and responsibilities - Provides technical leadership in designing and building cloud applications using cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), database query languages, and web programming languages.
- Leading technical expert in solving complex problems with cloud technologies.
- ProvideS consultative services for highly technical and complex problems on multiple projects.
- Interacts with business customers to formulate and define system scope and objectives.
- Consults, runs proof of concepts and advises the best use of Azure services to solve current challenges.
- Reviews completion and implementation of cloud system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients.
- Develops documentation on new or existing cloud systems.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned (i.e. Microsoft Azure).
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Works closely with PMO to scope next iteration and assist in implementation.
- Assists in other areas of the department and company as necessary.
Required skills, abilities, and certifications
- Ability to work with executives and technical staff.
- Familiarity with cloud methodoligies.
- Passion for cloud technologies.
Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications
- Microsoft Azure certification preferred.
- 3+ years experience deploying enterprise cloud technologies.
- 5+ years experience with enterprise software systems.
