With continued growth at Cotiviti, we're now looking to add an Audit Support Analyst to our Medicare Revenue Cycle team! This position provides reporting, project and operational support, ensuring timely and accurate responses to business and needs. Ideal candidate will work closely with audit teams, provider relations and Medicare payers to understand claims and concepts to facilitate claim adjustment, collections, and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities: Identifies problems in the revenue cycle process, proposes solutions and escalates to the appropriate parties as necessary.
- Provides weekly standardized reporting to the Revenue Cycle team, creates and tracks projects with the Medicare payers on an as-needed basis.
- Utilizes healthcare experience to review outstanding claim adjustments and collections.
- Identifies and defines issues, develops criteria, reviews and analyzes evidence to assist in determining corrective course of action.
- Utilizes and demonstrates with consistency, Medicare systems and Cotiviti tools required to perform duties. Reviews claims in Medicare systems accurately to identify processing issues. Updates team dashboards and creates Medicare payer reports.
- Meets with business and/or functional management to discuss and respond to their needs for claim correction, reporting, project and/or operational support. Develops related plans, budgets and timeframes as appropriate.
- Develops and provides on-going business intelligence reporting and analysis in support of revenue cycle and audit management. Defines and maintains a unified set of reports to provide business leaders with the information needed to support decision-making that drives operational excellence, superior customer services, increased revenue and profitability.
- Identifies opportunities to automate or modify activities or procedures to increase efficiency and maintain a competitive advantage. Compiles, produces and distributes reports on area activities as required.
- Maintains productivity goals and standards set by the department. Ensures all department rules and processes are followed. Alerts manager of system issues or other issues impacting productivity.
- Achieves the expected level of quality set by the department. Verifies completeness and accuracy of work. Alerts manager of issues or concerns impacting quality of work.
Requirements What we're looking for: - Bachelor's Degree: Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- 2+ years' experience in billing, accounts receivables, collections, accounting, finance, healthcare environment preferred.
- Knowledge of Medicare systems (CWF, FISS, MCS, VMS) preferred.
- Investigative skills, including the ability to evaluate facts and evidence to draw conclusions, even if information is limited as well as explain problems or situations using a systematic framework.
