COMMERCIAL FINANCIAL ANALYST

JOB SUMMARY The Commercial Financial analyst is involved in the evaluation of various strategic initiatives, monthly performance review, preparation of month-end accounts, and timely and accurate analysis of accounting information. The Commercial Accountant will be expected to provide analysis and present in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate various strategic initiatives in the Cheese Commercial area.
- Analyze monthly performance of Cheese Commercial and identify underlying drivers.
- Responsible for monthly CPP (customer & product profitability) process, analysis, and reporting as assigned
- Determine estimated cost for newly developed products as assigned
- Responsible for preparing various weekly and monthly reports as assigned
- Assist with planning process, including model modification, updating, and analysis, as assigned
- Prepare cash forecasts, including analysis and reporting
- Responsible for process improvement and standardization in assigned area
- Assist with monitoring internal controls and preparing balance sheet reconciliations, as assigned
- Complete month end closing tasks, as assigned
- Assist in the preparation of Internal and External audit requirements
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and ensure that deadlines are met
- Collaborate with the Divisional and Group accounting functions
- Assist in various market risk management activities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE - Qualified Accountant with 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance.
- Excellent accounting knowledge (IFRS) and accounting skills required.
- Requires a CPA, CMA, or equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES - Solid understanding of manufacturing operations is an advantage.
- Must have demonstrably strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), to include speaking clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel (Advanced) Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Prior experience with ERP database is an advantage (SAP preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in resolving issues. Good follow-up skills.
- Fluent in English
