DESCRIPTION Amazon seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Amazon Payment Products Finance team supporting Payment Acceptance/Cost of Payments. This role is responsible for: assisting with key business initiative decision making through relevant analytical support, driving the annual operating plan and other forecasting processes, creating and maintaining adequate financial reporting and controls. A significant portion of the work will revolve around project based ad hoc analysis to support the growing business needs. The finance organization is a key partner to the business requiring candidates to be able to effectively communicate/interact with all cross functional stakeholder groups that support Amazon Payments.
Ideal candidates will have the following attributes:
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a Finance, Accounting or other General Business related field
· Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
· Can easily translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable conclusions
· Exquisite written and oral communication skills combined with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads
· An understanding of finance issues in an operational environment of rapid growth
· 5+ years of finance experience in a large, multinational organization with world-class processes
· Solid business judgment and controllership focus
· Strong PC modeling skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, and SQL

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · BA/BS degree
· 5+ years relevant Finance or Accounting experience
· 5+ years of using Microsoft Excel at advanced level (macros, pivots, lookups)
· Experience using tools to source data through standardized data tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · MBA/CPA preferred
· Experience with Cognos, Oracle Financials, or Essbase preferred
· Experience in setting up cost allocation methodologies using activity based costing concepts
· Strong leadership skills
· Highly analytical and detail oriented
· Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions
· Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
