BUSINESS ANALYST NTRACT RHAM, NC
Business Analyst Requirements:
- BA or BS in computer science, mathematics or a computer-related field and 5 or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership experience and business analysis skills
- Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming
- Solid knowledge of web architecture, application development, and security procedures
- Strong understanding of SDLC processes
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing
- Development skills may include: VB, HTML/DHTML, JSP, Java Servlets, Oracle, PL/SQL, Java, UNIX, Windows, J2EE, and XML
- Understanding of relational database concepts and products
- Participates in system architecture design
- Ability to translate business process language into requirements and system design
- Acts as a mentor to less experienced staff
- Experience in version management and change control
Business Analyst Responsibilities:
- Independently manages business process management and business requirements of the customers and translating them to specific software requirements.
- Making sure that the solution recommended is commercial yet competitive.
- Documenting and analyzing the required information and data.
- Understanding the technical designs as well as the specifications.
- Evaluating the information gathered through workshops and surveys, business process description and task analysis.
- Effectively communicating with internal teams and external clients to deliver functional requirements like GUI, screen and interface designs.
- Very strong technical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of customer's needs so that they can be transformed into application and operational requirements.
- Acting as an interface between business units, technology teams and support teams
- Proactively identifies and facilitates opportunities to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of IT services across the organization
- Achieves a balance between individual, departmental and organization needs
- Identifies gaps in core competencies and effectively use development strategies to build needed knowledge, skills, and abilities within the group
- Demonstrates a willingness to accept new or additional responsibility
- Identifies and acts upon opportunities to improve communications at all levels and in all directions
- Displays an excellent ability to facilitate cross-functional communication, including ability to identify and resolve conflict
- Solicits feedback, evaluates and monitors client or customer satisfaction to improve the quality of services
- Understands system validation and documentation in a regulatory environment
- Facilitates effective team interaction.
- Acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.
