Role Summary/Purpose The Finance Cost Analyst demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for assigned plants and global processes. In this role, you will provide financial leadership for accounting, reporting and forecasting Inventory balances and revaluations. You will link with Fulfillment team on Inventory 'PSI' estimates as well as be responsible for the coordination of annual Inventory Standard setting and Physical Inventory.
Essential Responsibilities As the Finance Cost Analyst, you will:
- Lead technical accounting support and guidance for the plant cost analysts across manufacturing locations
- Coordinate and perform inventory cycle testing as required for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 and GAP compliance
- Provide controllership and coordination for the annual standards setting, physical inventory processes Support year-end revaluations (FIFO, LIFO, ICP)
- Ensure accurate quarterly account reconciliations for Inventory Accounting
- Support operating team in driving proper valuation and disposition of slow moving inventory
- Drive productivity improvements and consistency in controllership support for all elements of the inventory cycle for the Industrial Solutions business
- Be responsible for the analysis, measurement, and interpretation of cost data including price variance
- Maintain internal customer interface and provide advice and counsel to meet organization objectives
- Provide cost or program analysis for assigned areas
- Provide financial stewardship for inventory
- Conduct special analysis of cost or expense data or process enhancements
- Ensure the accounting accuracy of systems and cost data
Qualifications/Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance
