The Office of Human Resources is searching for an experienced leader to take on the newly crafted role of Assistant Vice President of Human Resources Services. In this role, you will be responsible for defining strategies and implementing plans and policies that support the creation of a world-class HR Service Delivery experience to CMU employees. The AVP-HR Services will play a key role in building, communicating and driving the execution of the vision and strategy for service delivery, including the use of data to drive strategy, decisions and outcomes to ensure the most effective use of resources.

In partnership with the Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, all members of the HR team, and university senior leaders and partners, you will assess current structure, define, develop, implement, and evaluate a world-class human resources service experience for faculty, staff and students.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Set overall strategy, direction and guidelines for a service delivery model.Partner closely with HR team and campus leaders to further advance delivery through service positions, self-service and other HR tools and systems.Influence the development of appropriate HR service solutions across the university.
- Build and execute a HR Service plan within the HR division.
- Drive innovation in the delivery model by establishing and maintaining consistent tools and platforms to strengthen service delivery experiences.
- Along with the AVP of HRIS, forecast future technology needs to continually evolve service delivery capabilities advocating for continual process and quality improvement, accountability, and compliance.
- Ensure the delivery of high quality HR services such that the UniversityR function is operating as a credible, service oriented, compliant, result driven, and creative strategic partner.
- Manage, coach, and lead others.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - Advanced degree preferred; Bacheloregree required
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience required, with at least 3 years in a human resources leadership position required
- Experience in higher education and/or decentralized, complex organizations, and global employment/campuses preferred
- S/PHR or SHRM-S/CP preferred
