Responsibilities The Credit Analyst will work directly with the Account Receivables & Credit Manager of North America to ensure that the credit decisions and collection efforts are made in a timely manner. The role offer high visibility and extensive exposure to multiple departments within the company and represent a great potential for growth in RB Finance. The Credit Analyst responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
- Perform credit reviews of new and existing customers to determine their credit worthiness. Grant and recommend credit limits in accordance with established company guidelines and procedures and based on available financial information of the customers, credit agencies reports, trade and bank references, publications and information provided by sales.
- Evaluate and process new credit applications in a timely manner, ensuring the application is complete and accurate.
- Facilitate customer order flow through timely review of credit holds.
- Contact customers to resolve past due items and involve sales when needed.
- Keep the AR & Credit Manager informed of serious credit and collection problems and major changes in account status.
- Ensure accuracy of all customer account data, billing addresses and payment remit to locations.
- Assist the AR & Credit Manager with special projects on an as needed basis
- Serve as a backup for AR & Credit Manager, as needed.
Is this You?
- Must have a BS degree in accounting or finance or a related discipline
- Must have knowledge of financial statement analysis. Ability to read, and understand the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements.
- Must have 3-5 years of Credit and Collections experience.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound credit decisions.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work cross- functionally especially with sales force.
- Familiarity with shipping documents (Bill of Ladings, Proof of Delivery) preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of JDE and/or SAP is a plus.
