JOB SUMMARY Responsible for maintaining and developing financial planning and reporting systems; ensuring quality of financial data submitted by businesses through review and feedback; and preparing / analyzing financial reports for senior management
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Assume responsibilities pertaining to the monthly close and financial forecasting processes.
- Assist in maintaining and developing segment and site level monthly analytics to help drive accurate reporting of both financial and non-financial data.
- Assist with various accounting tasks and support internal/external audit requirements
- Assist in the analysis of program profitability and contract accounting governance and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Compile the Monthly Business Review presentation through collaboration with multiple colleagues
- Review and compile financial data and explanations to support our site and segment day 5 packages.
- Review P&L flux explanations submitted by LIS businesses; ensure quality of explanations through questions and feedback
- Assume system administration responsibilities for Hyperion EPM suite; Provide general support, guidance and training to users around the Hyperion EPM suite and other reporting systems.
- Assist in the preparation of the 5 Year Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan and associated presentations for the segment
- Capital budgeting / forecasting and analysis of spending
- Assist in the implementation of a new Macola EM10 ERP system
- Assist with absorption analysis and cost allocations methodologies
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analytics, as required, to meet business needs
- Review balance sheet reconciliations submitted by LIS businesses; use knowledge of GAAP and audit processes to ensure balances are adequately supported; drive continuous improvement through feedback
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: - Bacheloregree in Accounting or Finance and 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and related exerpience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit processes
- Experience working with Hyperion EPM products
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- General knowledge of databases, accounting/financial computer systems
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret and critically appraise financial results / forecasts quickly
- Experience working with financial models
- Experience working with business forecasting
- Detail oriented with ability to perform accurate, high volume data maintenance
- Good organizational skills
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with all levels of management/staff on sensitive issues
- Ability to work independently and use judgment to prioritize requests
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - MBA
- CPA or equivalent
- 5 years related experience
- Experience working with Macola EM10 ERP System
- Aerospace industry experience
