Department Profile
Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the Credit Risk Quality Assurance function responsible for MSPBNAortgage Division. The Quality Assurance Analyst ensures MSPBNAortgage division maintains a sound loan portfolio with respect to compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, and the Mortgage divisionending policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities Perform Pre-Funding Quality Assurance and Post-Closing Quality Control reviews within SLA timeframes.
Validate Compliance with underwriting guidelines and procedures.
Document and communicate the results of the reviews.
Validate responses to quality control findings.
Monitor quality findings and their resolution.
Comply with the quality control testing standards.
Recommend reasonable corrective action relative to quality control findings.
Provide timely loan level reports of QA/QC findings
Follow-up with the Business Unit to validate remediation of loan level findings.
Appropriately raise and/or escalate problems and issues to management.
Provide feedback to quality control vendors.
Assist with monthly reporting.
Qualifications Qualifications 2-3 yearsedit experience in the mortgage industry.
Quality Control experience in mortgage lending a plus.
Skills desired
Strong understanding of mortgage lending including underwriting and operations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with attention to detail
Ability to make decisions and propose recommendations to mitigate or reduce risk to firm
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
