Under the direction of the medical providers, ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner. Provides professional nursing services through education and patient care in the Family Practice setting. Follows established nursing process including patient assessment, nursing diagnosis and evaluations. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as a primary liaison between patients, families, staff and providers.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Graduation from an accredited medical assistant program is required , BLS or higher current certification is required within 60 days of hire , Must hold clinical assistant credentials awarded by a third party standardized testing body as indicated below , Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) ? from one of the following certifying institutes , American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) , American Medical Technologists (AMT) , National Health Career Association (NHA) , National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) , Certified American Medical Technologists , Certified Phlebotomist (CPT or PBT) ? from one of the following certifying institutes , (CPT) - National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) , (PBT) ?American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) , Certified Surgical Technician (CST) ? from the following certifying institute , National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) , Certified Medical Technician (MT) ? from the following certifying institute , American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) , Licensed Limited General Radiographer , Licensed Radiologic Technical
