Florock is a leader in the research, development, and production of resinous floor coating systems for commercial, industrial and institutional applications. As a result of consistent growth, Florock products are manufactured in a new expanded facility in Chicago, Illinois, owned and operated by Tennant Company. Florock has distribution throughout North America as well as a reseller in the United Kingdom.
The Senior Buyer/Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for effective purchasing parts, packaging and raw material management by balancing service and inventory demands. Youcreate standardized methods for reporting, planning and scheduling. The role leads various continuous improvement projects and will forge strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive LEAN initiatives. Works with management team to develop supply chain disciplines and best practices including processes and procedures. Identify and proactively report on the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to communicate performance status and identify areas for opportunity.
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with peers and internal customers in order to communicate effectively, collaborate across functions, and strategically implement solutions.
- Expert on analyzing, and documenting processes using standards and methodologies.
- Control the level of stock through product life cycle management and scrapping of deadstock. Collect requirements from the production department and design specifications and budget raw materials.
- Conduct investigations and resolve issues on bottlenecks in the supply chain related to vendor performance
- Negotiates with the vendors and places orders for raw materials and makes sure that the placed orders are delivered on time.
- Researching for best prices in the market and potential vendors who can supply the required amount of quality products on time.
- Partner with internal customers to enhance the customer experience and drive new business
- Work with corporate and local vendors to acquire and maintain all material handling equipment, storage conveyors, and related assets
- Analyze entire supply chain including logistics costs, materials and sources. Partner with Distribution Center Manager to implement a process that will routinely identify opportunities to improve delivery and warehouse efficiency
- Own, develop and implement business processes and related improvements.
- Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bacheloregree preferably related to Supply Chain, Operations and/or Engineering
- 8 years of experience in Materials related field
- Proficiency with SAP planning, procurement and Warehouse Management
- Proven track record of implementation and results from Lean improvements
- Experience with international locations and companies
- APICS/CPIM preferred
- Vendor Management experience
- Experience in decision making and exercising sound judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
