- Under minimal supervision, the Sr. Credit Analyst is continually assessing and monitoring the overall financial viability and credit worthiness of the most complex business partners/customers located throughout the United States in accordance with policies and guidelines established in the company procedures manual. This would include periodic formal written credit memorandums and recommendations for dealer support loans, as well as more frequent monitoring and decision making throughout the year regarding ongoing risk assessment, temporary overline situations, and credit line needs to promote utilization of Commercial products and services.
- The Sr. Credit Analyst will work in conjunction with Account Managers and Associates to fully understand an assigned group of dealers.
- Works closely with business partners/customers to obtain and analyze financial data, pro- formand other data pertinent to credit underwriting guidelines and analysis, including proposed dealership buyouts and targets points.
- Analyzes financial portfolio of business partners/customers to determine financial strength, and determine cash flows for debt service capabilities.
- Reviews and understands all Uniform Commercial Code information in the file to insure that HDFS maintains adequate access and priority to all collateral over other banks and lenders, etc.
- Travel as required to visit customers in order to build loyalty, resolve issues, and address risk.
- Promote understanding of products and services offered by explaining benefits to customers.
- Reviews and inputs the business partner/customers financial statement information into Moodyisk Analyst software and any other required databases for peer analysis.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on a daily basis for pending orders that take the business partner/customer above their approved credit line.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on temporary or seasonal credit line increases, as well as used credit lines
Education Required Bacheloregree required
Experience Required We are looking for someone withclass="title_p">
- 5 years related experience in finance, banking, accounting, or other business field required.
- Specific knowledge of financial statement analysis, concepts of accounting preferred.
- Professional written and communication skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, as well as other computer skills required.
- Attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
Preferred - 3 years related experience in Commercial credit within Powersports or automotive industry.
