Position Summary: We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst located in Phoenix, Arizona. The Financial Reporting Analyst is primarily responsible for a wide range of reporting and accounting functions, including SEC filings, internal reporting and tracking of metrics (including reporting to our Board of Directors), creation of accounting entries, technical accounting research, among other various assignments. Our associates have broad interaction with all levels of management and support a wide range of individuals with varying skill sets. The position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and is located in downtown Phoenix.

Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing the financial statements, footnotes, management discussion and analysis, and other sections of the Quarterly and Annual Reports on Form 10-Q/K, as well as the related earnings release, by preparing supporting schedules and reviewing those provided by other departments. Help facilitate the internal and external review of these documents;
- Ensure accuracy of information presented in SEC filings by performing tie-outs to source documents and collaborating with other functional groups to draft appropriate disclosures;
- Review financial statements and financial schedules prepared by other functional groups for SEC and other reporting purposes, to ensure accuracy;
- Assist in preparing quarterly Board of Directors meeting materials and facilitate the internal review of the completed materials;
- Assist in preparing the company's consolidated financial statements by preparing intercompany adjusting and eliminating entries;
- Perform detailed financial and variance analysis of significant accounts, as well as other standard and ad-hoc analyses, as needed.
- Assist in the design of system and processes that enhance the timeliness and accuracy of reporting packages as well as help maintain and improve such processes to comply with internal control requirements;
- Assist in researching and preparing conclusions on technical accounting matters;
- Prepare stock compensation calculations in compliance with technical accounting guidance as well as other necessary accounting entries;
- Help complete government surveys; and
- Conduct special projects, prepare ad-hoc reports and other services at the request of management.
Qualifications: - Dynamic, self-motivated professional interested in joining a growing public company in diversified industries;
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required;
- CPA required;
- 2-5 years of experience, with a mix of public accounting (preferably with a big four accounting firm working with public companies) and public/private company industry experience with SEC financial reporting;
- Strong accounting, analysis and research skills;
- Comfortable with Excel pivot tables and advanced Excel functions;
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with experience interacting with various levels of management and peers;
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and bring projects to completion;
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and process improvement; and
- Exposure to XBRL a plus.
