Job Summary: The Assistant Vice President of Secure Payments is an executive level position in the Federal Reserve System with responsibility for the successful execution of Strategy 3 of the (SThis individual will lead and/or participate in initiatives intended to reduce fraud and/or advance the safety, security and resiliency of the payments system. These activities are part of a broader set of activities designed to improve the speed, security and efficiency of the U.S. payments system. The Assistant Vice President is accountable to the Senior Vice President of Secure Payments.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Working with the senior vice president and other members of management, responsible for the design, development and implementation of key elements of the Federal Reservetrategy for payment security, to reduce fraud risk and advance the safety, security and resiliency of the U.S. payments system.
Provides support to the Secure Payments Task Force so that it achieves established objectives effectively and efficiently.
Establishes and maintains management structures, feedback loops, and accountabilities to effectively deliver results on secure payments team objectives.
Facilitates dialogue with, and obtains/incorporates feedback from the Task force on designated work products.
Collaborates with Secure Payments team members, consultants and other Federal Reserve System entities to ensure plans are strategically developed and successfully executed.
Collaborates with the Secure Payments leadership team and Program Management Office staff, to ensure security strategy and tactics are appropriately integrated with the other elements of the payments improvement initiative.
Leads and/or participates in documenting the findings/recommendations of the secure payments work effort(s).
Provides updates on progress, risks, and challenges to various Federal Reserve System governance groups, as directed.
Ensures team leverages program management best practices and documents specific project artifacts / deliverables.
Provides coaching and development to staff.
Education and Experience: Bacheloregree or an equivalent combination of education and/or technical training
10 plus years of related information security risk management experience within the payments industry
Proven experience working and leading in a highly complex, geographically diverse, and matrixed organization
Proven experience taking responsibility, delivering results, and implementing large programs and projects on time and within budget
Understanding of Federal Reserveole in the payment system and strong knowledge of a broad array of US/ international payment systems, market activity and trends, key stakeholders and documented future direction for payment systems
Experience managing consulting/vendor engagement

Position Location:
Preferred position location is Boston, MA or Chicago, IL but open for highly qualified candidates.
