Legal Department Description
The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co is responsible for the provision of legal services to the Corporation and is organized by practice groups that generally align with the Corporation's lines of business and corporate staff areas. We are currently hiring a Vice President, Assistant General Counsel for US Macro Markets & Sales. This position is located in the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Legal Department in New York. Responsibilities will include drafting, negotiating and advising on the full range of documentation relating to derivatives (including ISDA Master Agreements, futures documentation, clearing documentation and collateral documentation) and will advise the front office on structuring foreign exchange and derivatives transactions and on regulatory requirements relating to derivatives. You will join a successful, well established team of professionals, and will be provided with extensive training upon joining followed by continued on the job support when needed.
Qualifications The required qualifications are:
- Must have at least 5 years of experience practicing post-JD
- Prior experience with derivatives preferred.
- Attorney's legal licensing must be in compliance with the regulations of the local jurisdiction where the attorney will work.
- Law school degree (JD) required; admission to NY bar
- Excellent writing skills, strong attention to detail
- Polished verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage projects and work independently
- Team player, confident and proactive
