The following opportunity is for a qualified candidate to join the management team in the Northwest Region. We have an immediate opening for a District Vice President lumbia District, located in Portland, OR. This new District Vice President position will report directly to the District Vice President and work in partnership with the Regional Vice President.
The Columbia District will manage 42 Financial Advisors and has excellent growth potential. Job responsibilities associated with this new District Vice President position include:
- Train, motivate and lead financial advisors across the district avel required in Oregon, Idaho and Montana
- Develop and implement a district-wide strategy for growing market share in groups with a primary focus on increasing participation and periodic flows
- Address and solve business-related challenges as needed
- Recruit and train financial advisors
- Coach and assist with advisor development
- Embrace and promote company initiatives
- Facilitate the sales of all products offered by AIG
- Partner with District Vice President to exceed district goals
To be successful in this position, the candidate must demonstrate strong communication, technology and relationship-building skills to work effectively with advisors, stakeholders and clients within the various communities across the District. Overnight travel throughout the district is required. Candidate must also be a team player and embrace change.
In addition, the successful candidate must possess and effectively demonstrate:

The Ideal Candidate Should Have: - Series 7, 24, 66, 51 and Life and Health licenses
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills in working with advisors, clients and the community.
- Candidates must also be a team player and embrace change.
- Strong leadership skills; mentoring and coaching skills; ability to build customer loyalty; and superior planning and organizational skills.
- Bacheloregree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of Retirement Plan types and law
- Knowledge of all VALIC product offerings preferred
