Job Description Nonearning Assets Manager, Enterprise Payments Group, Assistant Vice President
The Nonearning Assets Manager manages, directly and through subordinates, operational activities for a small business unit. Directs exempt staff. Works independently on moderately complex issues and projects.
Responsibilities - The Nonearning Asset Manager is responsible for identifying reductions in nonearning assets and fee expense. Responsible for maintaining contact and support with internal customers.
- Responsible for ensuring internal controls are executed timely and consistently, reviewing internal reconcilements for accuracy, detecting risks, gaps or errors and coordinating internal and external audit activity.
- Responsible for ensuring a cost-effective check clearing network and for budgeting, forecasting and analyzing variances in the financial plan.
- Ensures business unit, senior and executive managers have the information they need as it relates to nonearning asset management.
- Management and development of employees to ensure trained, capable analysts are provided to perform duties within the area. Leads change efforts. Proposes and manages key projects to reduce expense, improve margins, increase revenue, and create operational efficiencies and reduce expense.
- Responsible for designing and implementing system changes to properly allocate float on the Bank's balance sheet as well as to customers' accounts.

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and 8 years accounting experience with emphasis on accounting for assets and liabilities or 12 years of accounting experience with emphasis on accounting for assets and liabilities
- 5 years of management experience
- 5 years of experience with accounting policies and procedures
- 3 years of experience in building effective internal controls
