We are seeking a dynamic and energetic individual who will be responsible for the direction the planing, organization, and implementation of Branch Operations and Business Development activities for the credit union. Successful candidates will be able to formulate and execute strategic plans and budgets, consistent with the credit union's overall strategic plans. The Vice President of Retail Delivery will also ensure that growth goals are met or exceeded and works to develop new growth opportunities (Selected Employer Groups, associations, and current member penetration). Additionally, this position develops and executes growth plans and programs while leading the effort to transform order-taking culture to an advisory culture.
Duties: - Develops and implements strategic branch and business development plans with support the brand and drive growth and provides value to the members. Plans should include segment-based marketing, promotions, advertising, public relations, SEG and association calling program - all developed in coordination with our executive leadership team.
- Create an advisory culture to replace the current order-taking environment, including growth goals, growth plans, and member needs-based solutions program. Works across all function areas to gain buy--in from stakeholders for cultural change and specific plans.
- Provides leadership, coaching, and oversight to departmental staff.
- Collaborates on the creation and execution of a member growth and retention program.
- Develops and optimizes relationships with third part external stakeholders, e.g. - vendors, SEGs, communities, and members.
- Coordinates market research and member feedback to assess demand, brand positioning, and member satisfaction.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products and services. Maintains in-depth knowledge of internal credit union products and services. Keeps abreast of current market trends and operations, to include but not limited to, market rates, pricing, policies, and products, so as to be a trusted subject matter expert to the credit union employee base.
Qualifications: - 5 to 10 years of similar or related experience is required.
- Experience in a Financial Institution is required.
- A Bacheloregree is required.
- A high level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures and objectives effectively throughout the credit union and to represent the credit union positively to partners, community and peers.
- A high level of analytical skills to assess and evaluate the operation of areas of responsibility, participate in establishing credit union wide financial goals, analyze new products, review legal opinions and draft operational reports to Board of Directors.
- A high level of people leadership skills, including coaching, developing, team building, and leading staff toward effective execution of plans.
- A deep understanding of financial institution management, including financial management, risk management, cost control, member value.
- Strong lending background required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once with a very fast pace.
- A strong sense of confidentiality.
