Assistant Vice President, US Programs, Business Operations

The Assistant Vice President, Business Operations is responsible for supporting the US Programs department in their product and program development efforts including system support, regulatory compliance and business process re-design. The position manages a small team and drives the overall planning, development, and implementation of a wide-range of complex projects to support programs and process improvements.
Job Duties: · Responsible for detailed project oversight over all aspects of product development and program implementation including and not limited to: Due Diligence, Rate, Form and Data Feed development, On-boarding of Program Administrators, Generation of Internal and External reporting, Centralized Document Management and Retention of Corporate Sign Off Controls.
· Ability to collaborate across organization, at all levels, and build support for change while demonstrating a high tolerance for ambiguity in a complex environment.
· Responsible for assisting in the evaluation of technology solutions and collaborating with business and Information Technology (IT) teams to develop business case and implementation solutions.
· Oversee project execution and resources to deliver on-time and quality project deliverables. Influence business and technology transformations through translating business needs and analysis into artifacts that can be understood by technical resources, and vice versa, including achieving process standards and continuous improvements.
· Prepare quarterly business metrics for presentation to senior management.
Qualifications Job Requirements: · Bacheloregree required.
· Minimum of 5-10 years of experience, operations or project management preferred
· Strong, demonstrated negotiation and persuasion skills, strong written & verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to function both independently and as member of team.
· Ability to operate independently with minimal direction.
· Ability to influence partnerships to accomplish goals & gain consensus.
· Ability to design, create, and implement strategies and solutions.
· Strong customer experience and change management focus and expertise.
· Strong problem-solving and issue resolution skills
· Strong leadership skills and ability to foster cross training and development goals of team members.
· Previous product line training, underwriting or operation experience preferred.
· Insurance Professional Designation preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel and PowerPoint.
· Previous database experience preferred.
· Process reengineering experience and ability to document workflow processing including the use of Visio.
· Knowledge of P&C insurance and experience with internal customers.
· Travel to our other offices less than 20% of the time as required by business need.
