Responsibilities - Direct the overall planning and compliance function for federal, state, local, and international tax laws and mandates
- Oversee the quarterly and year-end tax provision
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Tax department professionals
- Due diligence and advice on major corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions
- Ensure the Company complies with federal, state, local and SEC requirements by studying regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions and communicating with outside advisors to ensure timely tax and SEC reporting requirements.
- Partner with internal leadership teams concerning all corporate aspects of operations, including tax review and sign-off on company projects
- Review federal, state income/franchise, and international tax returns
- Responsible for the preparation of the annual and quarterly financial statement income tax disclosures
- Oversight over transfer pricing studies for U.S. and cross-border transactions
- Prepare cash tax forecasts for corporate budgeting and forecasting
- Manage the preparation/review quarterly tax fixed asset schedules and tax fixed asset roll-forwards along with oversite of property tax function
- Oversee the preparation/review of tax account reconciliation schedules
- Manage and coordinate federal/state/international income/franchise tax audits
- Manage and conduct direct in-depth tax research from sources such as the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations, reputable tax research organizations or external counsel.
- Oversight of sales, use, property and unclaimed property process
Qualifications Education: - Bacheloregree in accounting; Masteregree in taxation or accounting a plus
- CPA is required
Experience: - Minimum 12+ years of U.S. federal and state corporate tax experience, either in-house with U.S. multinational corporations or in public accounting, preferably Big Four
- Familiarity with manufacturing or construction industry preferred
- Big 4 experience a plus
Requirements: - Proven track record of overseeing the tax function of a public company or advising public companies on tax related issues
- Strong analytical skills and a broad understanding of U.S. Corporate tax law with ability to develop tax strategy
- Demonstrated ability to handle a broad range of tax matters arising in diverse jurisdictions and specialty area
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills including making presentations to senior management, executive leadership, and audit committee
- Expert knowledge of ASC 740
