What youdo on a typical day:
- Execute a cohesive strategy for disciplined growth across all expedite operations
- Oversee and optimize operational processes, including sales incentive programs, customer and carrier contractual agreements, key employee hires and IT applications, among others
- Develop and execute high-growth financial plans, and report on performance against plan
- Achieve significant P&L success as evidenced by measurable improvements in revenue, margin, cost efficiency, profitability, employee productivity, safety, and compliance
- Develop compelling sales and marketing initiatives that communicate XPOalue proposition for the expedite customer
- Collaborate and cross-sell with other divisions to strengthen XPO brand awareness as a single-source supply chain partner
- Develop an effective strategy for attracting and retaining quality fleet owners, owner-operators, and partner carriers
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youneed:
- Bacheloregree in a business-related field
- 10 years of logistics experience; 7 in a managerial role
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends; travel up to 25% of the time
Ite great if you also have:
- Bacheloregree in Management or Logistics
- Analytical skills, including demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to identify opportunities to optimize resources
- Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems
- Effective organizational, leadership and presentation skills
- Capacity to take calculated risks, make strategic, results-oriented decisions, and accept responsibility for the results
- Excellent group presentation and negotiation skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization
