ABOUT THE POSITION: 340B Health has an immediate opening for a Senior Vice President, Legal & Advocacy at our growing non-profit health care trade association. This position reports directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer.
340B Health is recruiting a candidate to lead the 340B Health Legal & Advocacy Department. The Department provides education to members on compliance and pharmacy operations, advocates with the Administration and on Capitol Hill, and engages in research and policy development.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Set the legal and advocacy department's goals and agenda.
o Identify legislative, regulatory, and legal/compliance issues at the federal and state levels and develop strategies to address them, consistent with 340B Health's legal and advocacy goals
o Work closely with the President/CEO, Executive Team, and 340B Health's Board of Directors
- Execute and oversee the Department's implementation of legal and advocacy agenda.
o Advocate and serve as spokesperson to executive agencies and Congress
o Conduct legal, regulatory and legislative research
o Collaborate and develop relationships with outside organizations
o Manage and oversee the association's government relations and other policy consultants, as well as outside attorneys, to ensure their effective use
- Lead a team of attorneys and pharmacist in provision of education to members relating to compliance and pharmacy operations, including technical assistance, webinars, educational materials, presentations at 340B Health roundtables, and articles for 340B Health publications.
- Oversee development of research, using internal resources and external consultants, to support advocacy and further policy development.
- Play a significant role in developing programming for and presenting at annual conferences, and represent 340B Health at industry, provider, and other related conferences.
- Grow and oversee 340B Health Political Action Committee (PAC).
- Supervise a growing department of approximately 10 FTEs which includes the Government Relations, Legal and Policy, and Pharmacy Service teams.
- Develop and manage the Department's budget.
