Weber Shandwick is seeking a motivated and proactive Director/Vice President who has between 7-10 years public relations experience working with financial services clients for a key role on our fast-growing New York financial services team.
We are looking for a seasoned star who can hit the ground running to lead account teams for industry-leading financial services clients within the corporate practice. You must have experience working with Wall Street firms and a proven track record of delivering measurable results for seven figure level clients, including but not limited to media relations. You must also be a strong leader of results-oriented teams and have a demonstrated passion for pursuing news business in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment.
What you will do> Serve as day-to-day leader on key accounts
Build relationships with key clients
Develop long term plans and program recommendations for clients
Generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success
Account for quality control and final review of client correspondence, proposals, press materials, messaging, and Q&A
Contribute to work plan of junior team members
Ensure quality work from team in order to meet/exceed client expectations
Participate in new business pitches
Play a role in the training and development of staff
Be involved in staffing of team including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
Serve as a role-model to other team members
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 7+ years corporate financial services experience
Experience leading accounts and working with media
BA or BS in communications or related field
Additional Qualifications: Prior agency experience
Strong financial services experience
Strong media skills
Experience with new and social media strategies and campaigns
A proficient client strategist and team leader
