Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks a Vice President, Investment Banking in Menlo Park, California
Advise domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other strategic decisions within the technology sector. Lead execution of due-diligence processes and reviews, including business and legal due-diligence as well as due-diligence with respect to regulatory requirements of the financial markets as well as within the technology sector in various international markets. Assess the impact of macroeconomic events on clientsnancial strategy, and perform complex financial analysis and modeling, such as trading comparable company and comparable transaction valuations, DCF valuation, leveraged buyout and leveraged recapitalization modeling, and modeling of merger and acquisition transactions and associated structuring options, to advise on the aforementioned transactions. Perform business development initiatives, including generating ideas for clients, coordinating and managing day-to-day relationships with external clients and creating marketing materials/presentations. Responsible for leading internal coordination of the analytical workstreams. Supervise Associates and Analysts in creating financial analysis and modeling. Manage a team of analysis and associates in their day to day tasks beyond financial analysis modeling. Assist in the recruitment, training, and mentoring of the Groupssociates and Analysts, participating in activities including on-campus training, interviewing candidates, mentoring and providing career guidance to junior bankers, and providing analytical and financial modeling training.
Qualifications Requirements: Requires a Masteregree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years of experience as an Associate or related occupation in the Investment Banking field focusing on the Technology sector. Will accept a Bacheloregree and six (6) years of experience in lieu of a Masteregree and three (3) years of experience. Requires three (3) years of experience with: executing domestic and cross-border Technology sector transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements of the financial markets on behalf of a global financial services institution. Requires three (3) years of experience with: use of financial techniques including Discounted Cash Flow analysis, comparable trading multiples, precedent transaction multiples, Discounted Equity Value analysis, Leveraged Buy-Out analysis, transaction modeling for M&A transactions, modeling of the financial impact of various debt and equity instruments; performing complex financial analysis and modeling including trading comparable company and comparable transaction valuations, DCF valuation, leveraged buyout and leveraged recapitalization modeling. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Bloomberg, Capital IQ or Factset; Thomson Research; and advanced MS Excel.
