SUMMARY: President will work closely with CEO and the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategic plans including managing all customer relations, training, and safety programs, and oversight of the finance and accounting departments for the company.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plays a key role in business development initiatives, including creating and maintaining relationships with key decision makers within current and/or targeted customers.
Guides and directs operations management in the development, production, promotion, and financial aspects of the organization"s products and services.
Oversees/directs the operation management with responsibility for multiple customers/accounts, including P&L responsibility as well as business development responsibility
Implements and oversees the successful implementation of short and longer range plans and programs that meet operations goals and growth objectives.
Provides input on strategic direction and initiatives as well as tactical issues.
Provides guidance and recommendations to the CEO regarding operating structure and actions/processes necessary to effectively manage the organization"s current and projected activities.
Maintains a sound plan of business unit organization, recommending actions to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.
Evaluates the results of overall and/or specific operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the CEO and Board of Directors on an ongoing, regular basis.
Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: This is an ideal position for a regional operations manager / general manager / branch manager looking to take the next step in their career.
MUST have safety services and/or emergency response services experience
10 + years of increasing management responsibility in an industrial services organization, overseeing multiple/large projects with significant impact on overall business results.
P&L responsibility of at least $5MM
Proven track record of growing a P&L over an extended period of time (3-4 years minimum).
Proven history of leading business unit(s) with strong safety performance (e.g. low lost time/incident rates).
Candidate must possess confidence, credibility, insight and ingenuitive skills to maintain organization"s value to both to its clients and its staff.
Must be a driver of results with strong strategic and leadership skills with the ability to recognize new growth opportunities.
Record of developing and implementing pro-active solutions to meet customer"s needs benefiting the company (employer) and the customer.
Record of adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards. Must maintain a high degree of integrity.
Record of recruiting, motivating, managing and developing a capable operations/project management/sales team, including development of future succession candidate(s).
Must have a working/operational knowledge of key financial and operational drivers for success.
College degree preferred but not required.
