The Vice President of Facilities Planning and Operations is responsible for Corporate oversight of OSF Healthcare Systemlant Maintenance, Environmental Health and Safety. The Vice President of Facilities Planning and Operations will also assist OSF operating units with facility master planning issues, development and maintenance of standards, and will coordinate commissioning services related to OSFesign and construction projects. This individual will also provide advisory services related to Joint Commission compliance, preventative maintenance, energy management, safety and other issues to Facilities Services Directors at OSF hospitals.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bacheloregree in engineering, facilities management or other related field required.
10 years of professional/management experience in facility management or related area with at least 5 years in healthcare.
Working knowledge of facility plant maintenance and operations at a level typically associated with a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM).
The Vice President has strong leadership skills, detailed oriented; proficient in written and oral presentation skills; proficient in financial analysis skills; proficient in problem solving skills; and lead independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Project management skills in order to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining approved schedules and good working relationship with OSF clients.
Strong organizational and communicative skills, as well as good judgment, honesty and integrity.
Strong orientation toward service to OSF patients, clients and fellow employees.
Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain working relationships with facility administrators, department heads, staffs as well as vendors and contractors.
Analytical skills for evaluating proposals and issuing and administering vendor contracts.
Financial budgeting experience to develop and manage operational budgets.
Knowledge and understanding of building and health care codes, as adopted by the various jurisdictions and regulatory agencies, with the ability to research, interpret and apply to projects.
Leadership skills at a level to oversee and to develop staff objectives and goals while providing education and mentoring focused on staff growth and development.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Professional registrations and graduate degree preferred.
